The postproduction 2009.10.20

The postproduction team at Apuntolapospo studios is working long hours to incorporate each of the animated elements and visual effects into the frame and edit all scenes. All characters built in CGI are integrated over the real images shot in Africa. Each film frame is captured and scanned at 4k resolution. Whilst composing the frame, before the editing, one should take carefully into account perspective and depth in shot, as it is crucial to create a magical and touching atmosphere. The postproduction phase has to emphasize the visual quality and visual effects of the stereoscopic 3D in the screen, and thus lead audiences to experience a genuine and dreamy journey to Africa.

End of dubbing 2009.10.15

All characters, animals, fantastic creatures and animations have been dubbed over the last two months in the sound studios in Barcelona. After the incredible good job of Eva Gerretsen and Raymond Mvula dubbing Jana and Mel, it has been now the turn for the desert flower, the lion, the fire spirit, the caracal or the winged horse among all other characters. More than thirty-five actors and actresses have been conducted by Xavier de Llorens to wrap the dubbing up.
Leonor Watling has visited the sound studios to dub her character, the fairy, which shows Jana some secrets of life and helps her to overcome any obstacles that turn up in her adventure. Adrią Collado has also been playing his script lines again as Jana’s father. While Adrią was dubbing, we had a funny visit, a gossip fly that did not want to leave the sound booth…

Dubbing has started. 2009.09.10

After a long flight from Namibia, Raymond Mvula and Eva Gerretsen have been in Barcelona to dub their own voices of the English version of Magic Journey to Africa.
It has been a tough task as they had to read their script lines again using as a reference the voice shot in Namibia and South Africa in 2008. Even having been their very first time dubbing a film, they have gratefully surprised us by their excellent work.
Besides, after long studio sessions, they both had time to visit the city and their favourite museums: Eva the Science Museum, and Raymond the Camp Nou.
